Welcome to the Unofficial Bob Parsons Fan Club!
Whether you agree with Parsons' views or not, there's no denying his business genius, his sense of responsibility towards his customers, his spunky spirit, or his "thought-full" and to-the-point attitude - all admirable qualities in any human being - even if he is a bit opinionated and extreme on some issues. But hey, aren't we all in some way or another? The goal of this Fan Club is to show respect and admiration for Bob, not for what he has, but for what he gives; not for what he thinks, as much as how he thinks; and not so much for what buttons he pushes, but for his reasons for pushing them in the first place. It is hoped that this Club will give folks the opportunity to see what the vast majority of his clients already know: you can't beat Bob. Not in customer service, not in value and quality, and not in empowering the purchaser. He is one of the top reasons that the "little guy" has half a chance to make it big on the net.
A club for folks who may not always agree with Bob, but can't help admiring him anyway.

The Unofficial Bob Parsons Fan Club
Who started this Fan Club, and why?
My name is Michelle Donahue. I started this web site because Bob Parsons gives dreamers like me hope - and despite any disagreements I may have in regards to some of his opinions, he's a hero for the "little guy" in my book. You see, I'm an ideas person. I also don't have much in the way of finances. The combination of those two things can be frustrating for a people like me, who want to turn their visions into reality. That's where GoDaddy.com comes to the rescue. I discovered several years ago that for $8.95, I can register a domain name that represents one or more of my ideas.  After I register a domain, I can sit down and strategize how to develop it into something with the potential to be financially rewarding or just plain fun. And while I haven't turned a profit as of yet with my web sites, I expect to eventually - and that keeps me going.  Through my idea development business (Positive Purpose International, LLC) I own more than 500 domain names, a worthy investment in my opinion, and all but 3 are registered with Go Daddy. (See why those three aren't by clicking here.)  Of those names, I currently have 85 that I'm actually building sites for and hope to launch over the course of the next two years. I don't spend money on shopping, fast cars, sports, or other hobbies. Instead, I put all my spare change into domains, and one day I'm confident it will pay off. And who will I have to thank for that besides the Good Lord? Bob Parsons, for making dreams affordable to pursue - hence the Fan Club in his honor. (And no, this is not a paid endorsement. Mr. Parsons did not even know what I was up to until this site was built. In fact, I don't always agree with Bob's points of view, but still remain a loyal customer and fan.  Why?  Largely it is a direct result of Go Daddy's superior customer service and value.  This Fan Club is a creative endeavor to express my gratitude towards Bob for that.)

Why does Michelle own so many domain names?
Many of you may think, like a friend of mine, that I need to join "domain name anonymous." And maybe all of you are right as I am fairly well addicted - but not to domain names themselves.  Rather, I'm addicted to ideas and trying to figure out how to make them work. It is like an adventure for me;  a creative outlet like music, art, etc.. And while they are an expense, they come directly out of my writing paychecks, so I'm never in the hole as far as day-to-day bills go. Every year, I weed them out.  Those ideas I'm no longer enthused about, or have researched and found are not unique enough - I don't renew.  The point is, it's all about my ideas, my dreams for a successful future. All in all, I think it is an inexpensive and mentally stimulating habit to have! Besides, someday, when at least one of these pays off (and I hold on to the hope that at least one will) it will be seen as a phenomenally low-cost investment.  I mean, most folks spend more each year on getting their nails and hair done or participating in sports!

How will Michelle use all those names?
Well, some will be full scale web sites for business, others for tributes or creative fun.  I've even bought a few that I eventually plan to build for family members or friends to play with.  I also use several for pointers.  For instance, you can dot com a common misspelling for a search term and point it to a site you've already built.  This can help drive traffic to your site.
